Anyone picked up a bunch of larger Work Unit's or I am just being unlucky? Dave -- I had not really noticed until tonight. My slower P3 system has been crunching a work unit for 73 hours and 50 minutes and is only at 90 percent at the moment. Of course, it would be the slower system to get that work unit. Tomorrow's stats should be decent for me. -- Dave |

Morning Dave
----------------------------------------You might have a slower P3 system running there but I want to know how do you do that? that being getting the team placing every morning (In the UK) before, I am now convinced, we even get to see it in the UK. It can't be that extra 300ms latency we have across the pond. Come on what's your secret? Does knreed send you an advance email as soon as he gets to know Do you have access to a graphics free page that just loads in an instantI'm sure you get to see those results at least a couple of minutes before we do in the UK I wonder if IBM cache them on the European end so that we pick up our results from there instead of traversing the Atlantic each time we do a WCG lookup - and this is what takes those extra mins It's at least 01:16 nearly 17 before the team page is updated and yet your post is timed at 01:13:20 I'm mystified - do you have a ticker tape feed from IBM HQ? Whatever method you are using keep up the good work and roll on tomorrows stats you'll be getting a few points for that one.Congratulations are due to John Wood on becoming the 48th Member of the 6 digit club. Take a breather John and smell the roses before you press on to the 1/4 Million you've earned it. I've wasted valuable website development time today just hanging out around the forum keeping in touch, like I used to at the beginning of the project, bumping other team threads. Team Canada broke 20 Million and not even a post so I had to leap in there and offer my congrats. I know some of MOT get upset that I like to help along other teams as some members are very competitive but at the end of the day we are just one big team "Team WCG" and the important thing is encouraging the number crunching across the board, that's what gets those results back to rbonneau at the ISB so please forgive me. Please get out there boosting moral - we have plenty to spare here at MOT ![]() Night Dave - I still don't know how you do that !! Night Team from the UK Dave edited once so far because my spelling is terrible ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by David Autumns at Jun 5, 2005 1:13:27 AM] |

You might have a slower P3 system running there but I want to know how do you do that? Dave -- I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that I was a member of another team associated with a school before joining MyOnlineTeam. Certainly with two young daughters, you have heard of Hogwarts. Hogwarts (School of Witchcraft and Wizardry) -- Dave |

My slower P3 system has been crunching a work unit for 73 hours and 50 minutes and is only at 90 percent at the moment. That work unit completed. It produced the following: Date............... Run Time............. Points..... Results 06/05/2005..... 0:003:11:52:57..... 1,130..... 1 For that device, it was the highest point total since back in mid-January when we had so many large work units! |
