Coleslaw, I could not agree more applause
Someone that has just picked up 1100 tasks is not going to worry about not being on the short list for type A's.They will already have several badges and be well on their way to blue. Before this round I had not been too bothered about collecting these WU's. In fact, the football came first, then I decided to grab a few tasks, and after picking up a few, I left it at that - but overnight I picked up hundreds more. More than a day’s worth on several systems; allocated by the server, not me! So I get a yellow; no big deal and not any significance over silver to me. I hope plenty of people get their desired badges this time round, especially those looking for their first.
By the way, just because one system will not pick up lots of tasks does not mean that other systems belonging to the same user will not - farmers certainly don’t care about such lowly matters!

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

Given that we have just experienced a sudden downpour, and tasks will be returning over the next 8days, don’t expect more work soon. Perhaps in a few weeks; it is still and intermittent project. Even if a few tasks are re-issued, don’t expect to get any.

Over 90% of my tasks have now been returned:
417 Valid, 134Pending Validation, 38 In Progress.
448 Valid, 114Pending Validation. Only 26 In Progress smile

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

Recieved 1 WU across all my computers so poor timing on my computers part and probably lots of large empty caches waiting to gobble them up. Good for them. Will eventually work oput for blue.

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

I got in total 33 WU across my active devices (8 at the moment). Compared to the past history of this project I cannot complain. smile
But silver badge is still a very long way to go.

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

It's really down to keeping an eye on the threads, getting the heads up that new tasks will become available (luck comes in to that) and setting your preferences to only run DDDT2 tasks.
For me it is more difficult because I normally keep a very small cache (as I run GPUGrid projects). I need to make sure I have enough GPU tasks so as not go dry, but still complete in good time, then suspend GPU tasks, change the Projects, increase the cache, sit tight for a few hours and then reduce the cache, enable GPU tasks, and recreate different profiles - A bit too much effort, especially over many computers. The same applies to Betas.

Will be great if some new A Types groups could be distributed quickly.

If things continue in this speed, this project will take years, not months...

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

GIBA, if I'm reading between the lines correctly, a lot depends on the success (or otherwise - hopefully, the former), of this last heavy "C" shower. If the scientists are happy that the process is working correctly, then I think the rate of progress will be stepped up. As to whether the scientists will still want to manually review each set of results between phases, time will tell...

Thus, I don't personally see that there'll be much rain until after the beginning of July... Who knows though - I certainly don't biggrin

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

Well...some hope for some of you. One laptop I had a full cache on got sent home to my friend before running any of them. He hasn't even turned it on yet, so those will most likely go down as No Reply WU's. It is a shame because now I will be just short of my silver from this batch.

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

Well, here comes the odd drop of rain - as retreads are being sent out from the first "C shower" that occurred on the 18th-19th biggrin

For the main bulk of any possible retreads, we'll have to wait on a few more days...
