Good to see points coming in for Blueprint again! Hope you're okay Marc. I'm honored you noticed ![]() We had an unusually long hot and dry summer here in Perth (which was ended with one of our worst storms in our history interestingly) so I gave the crunchers a break for a bit.. They're somewhat back now, should be returning 10k+ a day again. I'm well though - except third year of uni is killing me! ![]() It does seem that Oz is getting the worst of the "climate change" that is going on. Wildfires getting worse, drought getting worse, heat getting worse. Then every time you turn around there's another major earthquake devastating some place in the world. It's almost enough to make you wonder if the conspiracy see-ers are actually on to something. More often than not though, it's just a case of the "life sucks" part of the law of averages. Compost happens. Truth is, WCG is not about diseases, it's about people. It's about finding ways to look out for each other and help each other out. We just started out looking at things like diseases and proteins and such so we could find new ways to fight them and the impact they have on us. We've expanded by looking for ways to improve a major part of the diet for a big part of the world and at our genome. climate and alternative energy. We do that as a team too. The points are nice, helping make progress is great but its people that are the bottom line. I try not to notice. I try to look. Knowing the condition of what's left between my ears at this point in my life, I worry about not seeing. Yea, you also get weird too as you get older. Enjoy being young while you can! Those storms did sound nasty. Glad you're okay! |

morning RT.. :) Haven't heard of anyone else crunching on an Atom.. but hey, that's one work unit done.. :) Dr. Mike.. Based on my limited experience, it doesn't look like something that will catch on. ![]() It has run two HCC WUs one HFCC and is running another now. I have it trying to get the DDDT2 WUs now. Those things are hard to come by. It may not be the most efficient way to crunch but for someone who only has a netbook or wants to squeeze every possible WU out of every machine they happen to have, it's good to know that it's possible. |

Even if most of these projects don't provide anything "of use", it's great knowing theres such a vast number of us whom dedicate time in our lives to trying. You know the quote, "Try and fail, but don't fail to try".And thanks RT. I love two of the four units, Computer Forensics (as fun as it sounds!) and Forensic Data Analysis (analysing for inconsistencies in data etc). But its just all veeeeery draining. I do little more than study and work these days. I miss life! |

In the "how much of a difference can one day make department", we managed to raise our daily point average 565 points just yesterday alone!
---------------------------------------- The average is over the past 96 days so the same effort raises the average less as more days pass. So yes, every one matters and every point helps! Summer's not here yet (though it is warming up) so let's keep working towards passing a 160 million point year. |

In other news, my daugher called and said that one of my grandaughters is studing bluebonnets in Kindergarden. She asked if I could send her teacher a picture of a bluebonnet. I emailed her a photo and also put this up on the web. Just in case you are interested in the Wildflower pictures around our home.
