GIBA,
The client will back off if it tries to connect to many time to quickly with no new work being captured. You could if you really wanted to set a cron job to tell your boinc agent to do a boinccmd --project www.worldcommunitygrid.org update. I would not recommend setting this too quickly as it'll make the servers upset, each connection requires database queries and overhead. But there is also the chance that the server will tell you that you have tried to contact too quickly, and bump your time up a bit. The command above is similar to pressing the update button on your gui. -Uplinger |
