100'000 points / 1 Teraflop

Sekerob
you mentioned in another forum the value of the Cobblestone system (that I do not know) of 100'000 points per 1 Teraflop of computation.
Does this mean 1 Tflop/sec. confused
If yes this means that with 1Tflop/sec machine you get 100'000 points/sec. shock
I must have missed something.

Re: 100'000 points / 1 Teraflop

Teraflop means one trillion floating point operations. A teraflop per second means one trillion floating point operations per second. 'per second' means speed. Without 'per second' you are talking about work done rather than speed. So, yes, one teraflop of work is supposed to be worth one hundred thousand BOINC points.
