Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 40 smilesmile

The complete lack of milestones is just a statistical probability. If you look at the raw numbers, yesterday was the best in Keith's running seven day total. And, of course, I'm sure we're all in favor of the retired members list being empty for a long time. smile

The cooler weather has been good for my point production. I've gone from 3K-3.5K a day to 4K-5K a day and sometimes better when I get a PV jailbreak. I've got the parts for another system which I hope to have put together before New Year's Day. It will be a lower-end system, but still faster than anything else I've got... and more than a replacement for one of my Pentium M systems which is on its last legs (6 year old system with various motherboard components failing every 2 to 3 months).

RT's right. Points is points. Besides, those older machines do better at keeping you warm in the winter too. For some crazy reason, it seems like the more cores you have, the cooler the machine runs. Guess all those laptops burning folks thighs must have forced them to do something. biggrin

Oh, and I thought your points had spiked some lately. You got two folks between you and being the next MOT Millionaire but you just might beat them!

I don't think i've seen it blank like that either.. :(

Jonathan, did you buy a new computer lately?

Dr. Mike..

(Good Morning MOT, from not so sunny Southwest Missouri..)

Yeah, it's my overclocked i7. 3.4ghz per core. Really screams through work units. Water-cooled with a high air-flow case.

Jonathan.. Is that one machine generating all your points?

I woke up this morning, and my living room was cooler than normal. I turned on my monitor and saw that my GPU temp was at 45. It's usually at ~68. I guess GPU Grid must have had problems last night as I had two WU stuck, waiting to report, and no new ones to crunch on.
Funny, though, how I suspected something was wrong with the crunching since the room was cooler than normal laughing
I fired up a couple of Pentium 4 3.2 GHz machines this weekend, just for crunching. It should help a little bit, anyway.
Happy Sunday morning, MOT.

Dr. Mike..

WTG on your board exam! I bet you feel like a load of bricks have been lifted off of your chest!
Good luck with the concert. The last one I went to was a Neil Diamond concert. My days of smoking the herb are long behind me, but I got a nice little contact buzz that night! laughing
Ah, to be young again! devilish

Jonathan, I have a Core i7 as well. I have mine OC'd to 3.8GHz. It's been churning out 24k to 34k WCG points each day.
