Snow in Texas? ![]() Yup. It snows fairly frequently in the panhandle. This was an odd one for sure. Only the southerly half of the State got any snow. I don't remember this ever happening before. We did not get any in the DFW area but about 150 miles south of here... down by Kingsland and Austin they did. Of course, it melts off and is gone in a day or so. In the 24+ years that I lived in Houston (off and on), I think I saw snow only once; perhaps twice. |

Congrats to our newest MOT millionaire!!! Have you guys been having problems with the HPF work units? I've had several that ran for something like 24 hours and were only a few percent complete.. have temporarily disabled just those WU's.. Dr. Mike.. The HPF, to the best of my knowledge has significant problems trying to run on Quad cores with 64 bit Operating Systems. I am not sure exactly where the problem is but after having lots of problems, I only ran it on single core 32 bit systems and it seemed to run OK there. Currently they are looking for the problem (see the HPF forum), and I am not running the project at all. I am running nothing but the two cancer projects. Have a great day friends. I've had the same problem that Dr. Mike saw - HPF2 WUs stuck while still using lots of CPU time. It can be fixed by stopping BIONC (including the science applications) and then restarting. However, you lose most of the CPU time that was used. I've seen this happen multiple times on my old Pentium M systems, so it's not just quads that have problems. I don't run HPF2 any more because of this problem. - D |

God bless Texas. In Memory of Dave Bell |
