I selected to always elaborate data, so I can manually suspend all activities when I need elaborative power for personal use. The problem is that the calculation starts by self at random after a while, just while I am making something important. Why? I think it is supposed to remain suspended until I start it again manually, isn't it? Why it starts suddenly?

I presume that you suspended activity via the Snooze option of the Systray icon? This action is suspending activity for one hour (not a random duration).
----------------------------------------If you want to suspend until you manually re-enable it you have to do it from the Advanced view of BOINC Manager, Activity->Suspend. But then don't forget to re-enable it via Activity->Always compute when you have finished your personal activity. Cheers. Jean. |

Thank you very much, they have to change the option name in the tray icon from "suspend" to "snooze"! :) |

Semplice, Uno, Due, Tre... e Tutto è Automaticamente ![]() Images are not showing but I presume you are suggesting to set thing to check CPU% and automatize the activity: i don't want it. I want to manually handle it, always. Anyway I solved the problem thanks to JmBoullier. Bye. |

No Andrea, the CPU% is not relevant to the automatic pausing/snoozing of BOINC i.e. it should be left at 100%. Anyway, what shown in the red quadrati was the way for you to not having to think about restarting BOINC. In the suggested setup BOINC would resume computing 5 minutes after you stop using the PC, plus it would resume from the point it was paused and not from the last checkpoint as it by default does.
