Welcome in WCG's forum Erik!
----------------------------------------Reporting completed jobs is done automatically when the BOINC client needs to request more work. It is designed this way because reporting means expensive access to the main database, and so, grouping the reporting of several jobs and the request for new work is minimizing the global stress on that database. For this reason the Update button should be used only for exceptional reasons. Note (falconet and Erik) that using the Update button will actually force the reporting of completed jobs, but it will not force downloading new work if the BOINC client does not need any. Thank you for having joined WCG, and happy crunching! Jean. |
