Re: Please update status

OK, so my guesstimate is roughly 2 more months at current trend (using a 49 CPU years/day mean).

Hmm, the chart is climbing ~ 0,09 -0,1% each day.

We have 18,9 % to crunch- so calc.exe would estimate ~6 month.

Batches- 630 is the final
we are now crunching around 542- that would make 86% in 20.5 month.

calc.exe would say- 3.3 month for the last 14%. nerd sleep

Re: Please update status

Your calc.exe needs a new version update (W7 has a much improved version, double precision statistics module) aka Ctrl-F5. We've done about 24 complete batches for 539 years since last calibration at 22113 years. Racing through, the techs will give a 30 day alert for last new work when the time is there.... then we need another 14-17 days to get the repairs and stragglers in.

Sek, you're working with different NRW charts- that's not fair. wink

On this page (posting #5) the chart says for NRW, that 90.7% are done.

With the same date- this chart says, 81% are done.

My calc used the 81% image and is confused now.

I hope, I have enough time to crunch 2 more years to make my 5 years complete. biggrin

Re: Please update status

Not sure how fast batches are really going through, as now I've received new ones for 527/528/529 with a generation date of 23-1-10, whilst completing 545 front of the queue created on 28-1-10... kind of random... maybe a LIFO principle?

Anyway, holding on < 0.2% per day presently and doing a recalibration next week. My highest number as said 545 indicates at least 85 batches in full that need crunching... about 2,000 years or more with a 7 day average of 51.5 years... however it's diced, done in about 40-50 days... not mentioning demand for other projects should they show :-|

The highest I got are 549 mixed with 525 yesterday- today 550 mixed with 531.
I would also see the end in last march or early april.
Possible some more time, when a new project starts before and a lot of people switch theire priority.

Re: Please update status

At the end these projects always drag on longer then, at least I expect. Like Sek points out about stragglers and such and new projects coming on board, always prolong the finish. Also with the recent Beta activity and postings about Dengue phase 2 at some point going to start among others possibilities, who knows how they will effect NRW, but certainly this phase will probably not last a whole lot longer.

Re: Please update status

Since most are well aware that Rice will end pretty soon, I think much will depend on the arrival of new projects. I doubt there will be any form of noticable last-minute rush. With no hope of upgrading my Rice badge anyway, I'll simply stay here and crunch until Rice ends, a new project comes online or the world ends, whatever comes first.

Or until I change my mind. biggrin

[edit]The lack of last-minute rush may also mean that less people will buffer up at the end. Anyway, there's no way of telling until we are there.[/edit]

Please feel free to focus on your 5 year badge for a longer lasting project...
- If you drop off rice and do that... you have my thanks
