I think you might find that there are many that would disagree with your assessment of Didactylos.
I'm not going to get into a mud slinging mess on this but just want you to realise that your opinion is just that, your opinion.

You mean my opinion and gb009761's opinion so far. Let's see in the end how many are of your opinion and how many are of mine.

WCG members should be treated with respect as partners by WCG, not as sheep.
We are not sheep! We ARE the FUEL and ENGINE of this thing. And if a member like Didactylos can be removed so brutally on petty things like being overzealous I think we should see what WCG can do without FUEL and ENGINE.
In the end it ... is all about principles and respect.

Actually no, I was refering to you as the person who started this thread. It was and is YOUR opinion and your entitled to it.
As to whether more people agree or disagree with your opinion or mine or anyone elses it's a done deal and not worth a tinker's damn discussing.
This doesn't appear to be a poll but a thread by one person who appears to be suffering from "panties in a bunch" syndrome because a person was removed as a CA from this forum.
I think you ought to realise another truism in life.
Forums like this aren't democracies but more like benevolent dictatorships.
Play within the guidelines and life is rosy and cheery.
Play outside of those guidelines and it can seem like the whole world is coming down on you.
Now your buddy here took it upon himself to create something with WCG's name but without their permission and it appears they didn't like what he did.
Then to add fuel to the fire he wouldn't let it go and went public here with the issue.
His call and no one elses.
He played with fire and got burned and thats the reality of what happenned.
If you see it any other way may I ask what color is the sky in the world you live in?

I think the whole situation definitely could have been handled better. There should have been some private conversation between the two parties behind the scenes and maybe some compromise on both parts. Apparently that didn't happen or broke down somewhere in the process, which is why it made itself public in the chat room.
I totally understand Didactylos for wanting to help recruit new members and add functionality to WCG, but I also understand that WCG are the official party here and if they do not want any part of it they are in no way obligated.
It seems like people got their feet stepped on and didn't bother to move them out of the way so it kept happening.
I would welcome Didactylos back as a CA. He has always been helpful in the forums, especially linux related questions, and it will be a shame if he decides not to continue to offer support. He is still a volunteer just not with the Community Advisor status and will still be a valued asset to WCG.
