The moment that Didactylos is reinstated is the last moment that I will crunch WCG. WOW. I guess your promotion is going to be delayed a bit too. Sorry. ![]() |

The moment that Didactylos is reinstated is the last moment that I will crunch WCG. Hi Mike, My gut tells me that isn't an issue and also I wouldn't let any one person effect me to that extent. Ok, yea, if I found out the people running WCG we're into kidde porn yes, but you know what I mean. The work and the goals matters much more than any single individual my friend. ![]() |

What's more, whatever you think of Didactylos, you've got to have some respect for him - as he's still turning in the work, and thus, is still around. Thus, even after what's happened (as evidence proves), he believes that the science we're all helping, is far more important than the "small stuff" we're discussing here. I know many people who would have simply taken their spare computer cycles and used them in some other way (if at all). ![]() |

I know many people who would have simply taken their spare computer cycles and used them in some other way (if at all). I have NO respect for him, thus my comment. There are many "other" projects that carry as much or more "weight" as this one to choose from that does not have people like him "helping". re: Astrolab, my promotion comes on the 11th of next month when I retire. ![]()

Who gives a toss who the CA's (what a glorified term) are ....the only thing that really matters is the work isn't it?
----------------------------------------Always had the impression diddy was antagonistic, self opinionated and bias but hey ho! Runs back to his own project forum where he is a (C.A) ![]() Enjoy the "promotion" mike ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Nov 13, 2009 9:38:34 PM] |

personaly i think he was a good CA.. but he broke some rules i dont know weather i think he should be reinstated or not as a CA would like to hear from both sides. It is more important for CA’s to follow the rules accurately and all times. And he can (probably) still be here helping other members, so where does he need his old title.. Nowhere? And all this for some fb app.. c’mon… edit. practising english

I was recently castigated and called a spammer for my attempts to stimulate activity on the same general issue as Didactylos. I did place the same urging of a Facebook application for each and every separate project on that project's home page.
----------------------------------------I categorically rejected the insult, I stayed in the debate that my actions caused and I believe eventually people saw that I was simply ardent for this great work and getting the "good news" of WCG out to a wider audience. Over my time attached to various projects at WCG and also projects running BOINC software on their own, Didactylos has often been my rock and my strength. Very simply put, when someone like Didactylos is cut, we are cutting off our own noses despite our own faces. I, too, little old me, I urge his return as a CA. I will shortly be suggesting - this time according to the rules - RSS feeds for project news on each and every project home page. This is already available on all of the dozen BOINC projects to which I am attached beyond WCG. >>RSM |
