Read the first response to the blog item at Greg Laden's to get an impression http://scienceblogs.com/gregladen/2016/08/30/...strial-signal-from-space/ ... for sure you need Dyson Sphere like capabilities, at which point you'd have to ask with it purportedly coming from a 94 light-years away location in space, could we expect a first reply already, which is then 188 years after we first started beaming our existing on our 3rd rock from the sun. hmmm, we did emit our first radio signals circa 1888, and they were not all that powerful. But, do we want to be seen by those 'skilled' beings...
