Re: error with RICE

I have these errors before too and I can't understand why it is. Rice must be really different then the rest of the projects. I use the 6.6.28 because that is the one WCG supports. Make me think it's a problem somewhere in the Rice project.

I reboot my laptop 2 times a day. The other thing is I have other laptops running Rice project that only gets a reboot after a Windows update or when my virus program gets a major update and informs me it requires a system restart.

Re: error with RICE

Hi,
had 2 Rice on one of my C2D P8600 with Win XP SP3 that does not start the calculation after Boinc has started the Result and is showing CPU time.
Other WCG Project are running good on this machine. (HFCC and CMD2 with valid results)
By now I've disabled Rice for this machine over the Profile.

Sample for one of my two results:
workunitId=111092350
Application: wcg_rice_6.17_windows_intelx86
Result Log

Result Name: R00438_ 85058c9216875618d560551c92ca2d49_ 00_ 11--
<core_client_version>6.10.18</core_client_version>

Re: error with RICE

I had no issues with Rice a few weeks ago when I stopped processing the project to focus more on HFCC to get badge level up.. I am using the latest WCG client... never had failures with it.
