Re: website updates?

I am using the latest version of Safari on OS-x and the left side menus do not have usable links any longer. Also, on the results page the drop downs don't ... I cleared the cache and tried again and no joy ...

Hmm, in Firefox on OS-X the back ground does not appear, but the left side menu does have usable links and the drop downs do ... Should not be a cache issue on FF as I never had used it for WCG in the past ...

The left side links should be fixed for Safari very soon. Not sure about the drop-down issue as I can't reproduce that (I'm using Safari on Windows).

Re: website updates?

So far, looks pretty snazzy on Firefox 3.5.3 running on the horrible Vista.

Color you lucky ... (its a joke, honest...)

I just tried Safari on WIndows and neither the left side links or the drop downs work for me ... :(

Re: website updates?

Sigh ... now the too many redirects issue is back ... then I got:

SRVE0255E: A WebGroup/Virtual Host to handle / has not been defined.

SRVE0255E: A WebGroup/Virtual Host to handle www.worldcommunitygrid.org:80 has not been defined.

Don't get me wrong, I like the new look ... but ... sigh ... I hate transitions ...

Paul - you were trying this right when we were updating. Give it another go. The left side navigation should be working for you now.

Way Cool!

Yeah, the links on the side work now as do the drop downs on Results ...

I will play with it more tomorrow ... sadly we used up my quota of health today ...

Thanks for the quick updates and I will keep that in mind if I see that message again ...

I have noticed that under some cases i get a "flashing" effect when I do a page refresh or some updates... like it cycles through 4-5 times ... not sure what is going on or how to describe it better ...

Till tomorrow ... keep at it ... looking good ...

Re: website updates?

That to works for me... cookies, mix secure/insecure elements?

The glossy bar right top with all the project buttons scrolls nicely moving the mouse. Question is, was the project text left below the first button meant to change with mouse hovering? Presently it always says Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy and the first button having a highlight rim.

edit: okay, so clicking the buttons changes the banner, the subtext, but not the highlighting blue rim.

edit2: On the project button bar, front page, clicking the various pops the project text below, some partially creeping off the right, but on the second last it says "fig" instead and the last has no text.

Was this fixed or is it automagical from me laptop, front of the tube, working now as expected, all project titles showing with the buttons and the highlight and periodically rotating to highlight a different project in addition?

(Too lazy to get up and walk across the house to find out from where I wrote the original post)

If you care to think of me as a little elf of automagic, then yes, it was fixed automagically.
