Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

What if I said Klik that the Earth isn't getting any warmer. That the amount of ice currently being deposited is greater than is currently being lost to the Sea and that CO2 levels in the atmosphere are not the risk to life and limb that are being claimed and that the Planet's current functioning is perfectly normal compared to any previously measured norms and extremes and that we had all been force fed a great fat lie.

?

What would you think ?

I would say that Sun is on now not only on local minimum, which comes every 11 years. But also in what's called "grand minimum", which is also called "de Vries cycle" of 210 years.

As Sun is not so very good observed & our understanding of Sun is with limited time-table. We simply don't know what will happen next! Everybody who tells you different is probably liar & egoistic maniac. cool

But current CO2 has not observed in human history, which is not a long time (btw). Though CO2 might not be so much of a problem, as we thought. Even ozone hole is getting better, so we have to keep doing what we do.

But, having more people on Earth is going to be a problem. I'm not advocating to kill them, like R&R does. Just recognizing that it's a problem!
Cheap prices of meat & food is a problem. As agriculture gets more CO2, then all the cars, boats & factories combined!
& some other things, that we haven't found solutions for (refrigerators, air-conditions, heaters, computers / tablets / laptops / mobiles, ...).
wink

Colleagues used a (mathematical equation) called the elastic sea level equation to get a more accurate measurement of the ocean floor.
Key Words--Or maybe BS-- cool

I see we are on the same page Klik :-)

The Population Problem will sort itself out it's growth is already slowing
Every last one of us currently alive won't be in 120 years being morbid about it
Many Countries do not have replacement levels of fertility. More will be joining them in future years

It's a none problem

Germany to let slip 2020 climate target

...because it isn't achievable. Much like our [UK] 2008 Climate Change Act

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Climate_Change_Act_2008

Ours is to reduce to 1/5 our output of Climate Changes Gases (aka CO2) by 2050

It would help immensely if the progressive leftists socialists would just stop emitting CO2 smile

Not only that, but if they also stop replicating themselves. As socialists usually breathe in vain, as they usually accomplish nothing & their productiveness is non-existent. cool

Sorry, GeraldRube, I'm in a foul mood today, and somebody has to take the brunt of it devilish
Scroll down a bit, and a video will show you what Copenhagen will look like
if the temperature rises by 2 degrees Celsius
- I cannot figure out how much that is in F for your leftponders, because I was born a blonde batting eyelashes

In numbers it will pan out like this in the Nordic countries (execpt for Iceland).
