That really is a strange sight . It is supposed to be sunspot maxima on what has been a weakly active cycle 24

How's it looking on the best/most awesome web page on the Internet?

Nope that's not the crackling firecracker it was through 2001-2003 either

Maybe the UK going straight from Summer to Winter (No Autumn) isn't such a surprise. We're having overnight temperatures we should be seeing mid November all this week and into next !

German ‘green revolution’ may cost 1 trillion euros
Filed under: Morons — sunshinehours1 @ 9:53 PM
Tags: morons
“(Reuters) – Germany’s transition to renewable energy may cost up to 1 trillion euros ($1.34 trillion) in the next two decades, the environment minister said on Wednesday, piling pressure on his opponents to back plans to cap power price rises before the election.

With an eye on the September vote, Peter Altmaier, one of conservative Chancellor Angela Merkel’s most trusted ministers, has outlined plans to rein in subsidies for renewable power which have pushed up consumers’ electricity bills.

However, his plans may be doomed as the opposition Social Democrats (SPD) and Greens have reservations and could block legislation in the Bundesrat upper house.

“The costs of our energy reform and restructuring of energy provision could amount to around 1 trillion euros by the end of the 2030s,” Altmaier told the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper.”

If only for that delightful image of Al smile

Remember I was onside with the whole be nice to the Planet thing until I read the claim that the Earth was going to warm by 6C by 2100.

I'll happily go along with the fact we will have made a difference to our Climate

It's all a matter of degree and the consequences of the claimed change

I am happy to accept we have made a change that is so small as to be swamped completely by the natural variations we see in our Climate system through allowing the CO2 concentration of the atmosphere to reach almost 0.04%, as we observe.

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

The thread is

We are not allowing new fossil fuel power stations to be built in the UK (and elsewhere around the globe) on account of a scare story called Man Made Global Warming created on account of a trace gas CO2 out of which every living thing on the planet is made.

As a result of this Nuclear Power is supported. Food is turned into biofuel, Rain Forest and Temperate Forest are being chopped down, the first to plant Palm for Palm Oil for Bio-Diesel, in the second case they are being poured into existing Power Stations for Carbon Credits/

As a result food staples are costing more around the globe and in extreme cases is causing food riot's, people are starving as a result. Fuel and Energy bills have unnecessary additional costs built in due to Climate Levies and costs incurred in producing energy in less than efficient manners. These include Feed in Tarriffs, Climate Change Levies and all manner of legislation see here http://www.environmentlaw.org.uk/rte.asp?id=54

In the UK we are actively switching off our power stations to meet the EU's Large Combustion Plant Directive http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Large_Combustion_Plant_Directive and the headroom in our Electricity generating capability is being whittled away.
The wriggle room we don't now have in the system

One cold snap in 2014,2015 and the lights will go out. Long before then the UK Population has been unable afford to keep warm in winter. Every year some of the elderly and the frail are effectively murdered by the State as a result of these draconian measures.

The chief propagandists of this scare story get Nobel Peace Prizes and annual jolly's around the Globe.

Meanwhile it's getting cooler

see www.theglobalthermometer.com

http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/hadobs/hadcet/gra...raph_ylybars_uptodate.gif

not hotter

Our potential is being controlled by Huge Government
Supported by newsprint and public broadcasting companies permanently pressing this lie

This thread is the antithesis of all that

Over the next few weeks you should see the MMGW PR Machine ramp back up again at least you will be informed if you follow the great links published here.

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Today's the day everyone is equal with give or take 12 hours of Daylight and 12 hours of Night everywhere,

Happy Equinox Everyone smile

For the next 6 Months the Southern Hemisphere will get the most Sun

The beginning of permanent night at the North Pole starts today progressively working it's way down to the Arctic Circle by the Winter Solstice.

For the vast majority of us .... Here comes Winter hugs

The cycle keeps on repeating

I haven't been making it up

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/energy/10325...-amid-blackout-fears.html

It really is this serious.

This from the same Telegraph that won't allow you to post links to this from our Met Office

http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/hadobs/hadcet/gra...raph_ylybars_uptodate.gif

under any piece on Global Warming.

Because reality isn't toeing the Party Line

Only in the UK could you have a Government Department with the acronym DECC

The Department of Energy and Climate Change
