Central England Temperature for June 2012

6-2012: 13.5°C. Rank: 279/354
Warmest June in this series was in 1846

Provisional CET anomaly (up to 29th June): 0.63C

It has been the rainfall that has been extraordinary ... returning those groundwater levels back to normal .

What a difference 4 months makes
February

June

It's almost as good as the Geoff Huhne YouTube Classic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPr5kR3BwUA

Another politician with a complete disconnect with reality - Never be so stupid as to declare a drought in February ....especially not in the UK d oh

Shale Gas is the cheapest and most dynamic power source in terms of deployment and load control

but... in the UK

"The government needs to multiply investment in clean energy four-fold to avoid breaking laws on renewables and climate change"

and who exactly put those unbreakable laws into the statute books?

http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2008/27/pdfs/ukpga_20080027_en.pdf

Ah yes that'll be The Government (with only 3 voting against)

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Our favourite Arctic Sea Ice website has had a revamp

http://www.ijis.iarc.uaf.edu/en/home/seaice_extent.htm

Hopefully this is to ready it for the new data that will be provided from the AMSR2 instrument onboard the GCOM-W Satellite (Also known as SHIZUKU) launched earlier this year.

Hopefully with less gaps in the Earth's coverage than with WindSat that they are using to fill in after the AMSR failed on the Aqua Satellite on October 4th last year http://www.drroyspencer.com/2011/10/amsr-e-ends-9-years-of-global-observations/

A couple of active Sunspots jetting out into Space today

http://sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov/data/SDO_Self_Updating_6.htm

For a size comparison of some of those CME you can fit 109 Earth's lined up across the widest part of the Sun

You can fit 1,000,000 Earth's inside the Sun if you pack us in like Marbles... or 1,300,000 Earth's if the Earth was crushed into dust first.

1,300,000 times the volume of this great Planet of ours shock
