Watch this for a few days and then come back and tell me the Sun is a constant

http://sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov/data/SDO_Self_Updating_6.htm

The clue is in the name of the Satellite it's the Solar Dynamics Observatory wink

http://sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov/

1.3 million times the volume of our Planet and has nothing to do with our Climate. Pull the other one. The Sun is our Climate.

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Here's a link to the "silly" data from 2565 NOAA weather stations producing reliable and regular data hourly from around the Globe

http://www.theglobalthermometer.com/metar.cfm

My results are reproducible from this raw data. It's science experiment conducted fully transparently in public.

It means I can confidently say that the warmest place in the USA yesterday in my database was Needles Airport http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Needles_Airport peaking at 109F (43C) - Weather Station identifier KEED.

How many other temperature series can you extract that level of granularity from?

Far from Silly me thinks wink

!

Gerald you should elaborate.

It's bang in the middle of the Mohave.

Here's another link to more of that ongoing climate research http://joannenova.com.au/2012/07/medieval-war...ar-to-early-20th-century/

You know the one that is settled wink

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Last years peak 30 day average temperature has been bested today

It's currently 0.0076028C warmer than last years 30 day max of 23.0563778C (give or take wink)

Last year we reached the 30 day peak on the 8th of August so there's still time for that increase to increase

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Could fit in the funniest news of the week thread [Chat Room too], but denialati deserve to know as well, delivering to the doorstep... don't click on link if wanting to preserve continued blissfulness of the measurable reality in all it's aspects http://thinkprogress.org/climate/2012/07/28/6...rbon-pollution/?mobile=nc

Yes, the main funders of disinformation [more CO2 is good for *all* plants, and CO2 does warm, but not as much] funded what they do not want to come out [and we've known to come since before Arrhenius calculated the effects in 1896]: Present global warming is man made! The IPCC has consistently *underreported* the effects of what humans do to us all's planet. Enjoy your bliss.
