Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Hi Gerald

Space is either stealing our heat or witholding it from us in the first place wink

We've been getting colder

http://junksciencearchive.com/MSU_Temps/Warming_Look.html

Generally though it's a fine equilibrium here in the Goldilocks Zone

I wonder how the spectra of the Sun changes throughout the Sunspot cycle?

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Help!

I want to cry

http://www.decc.gov.uk/assets/decc/What%20we%.../1358-the-carbon-plan.pdf

I'm as green as the next man.

But when a cross party document uses the word negawatts it's a lost cause

Our people are on their knees We have no spare cash. What we had has been taken and our NHS, Education System, Policing, Millitary and Infrastructure development have had their funding given to the Banks.

What next?

There's no-one in Government who is against this stuff. What happened to pragmatism?

Watt, Ampére, Volta, Henry, Coulomb, Faraday and Ohm would never have envisaged it could come to this.

Little note to all.

Man Made Global Warming isn't having the effect claimed on it's behalf

http://junksciencearchive.com/MSU_Temps/Warming_Look.html

The UAH satellite record last month had a change from normal temperature of 0.00C. This month the RSS Satellite Record shows the degree of warming over and above normal to be 0.05C (1/20th of a degree) and Global Temperatures have been collapsing month on month

When are those in power going to have admit to the facts, real life and reality?

We need power to achieve our potential.

Why is it wrong to effect this in the cheapest, least risk and most efficient way possible?

In all it's forms, as appropriate, including renewables?

There used to be a sitcom called the Partridge family... think it's long overdue another is created for bird of different plumage... "The Ostrich Family"... no laughing matter.

Polar ice loss quickens, raising seas:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-12687272

And to follow up on the Global Warming, Skeptics Approved Version chart I posted in January, here more detail on one of the inputs:

The CO2 tracker in my sig was updated too... so we're aware, none can say ''We did not know", with info link for more detail! Once 350 ppmv was thought 'Highest Ceiling Save'' to cap global warming at 2C... 350 ppmv is now thought to cause much more... including more hunger and further reduction of nutritional value of staple foods such as wheats.

I'll see your "Polar ice loss quickens, raising seas:" and raise you with "An Inconvenient Truth: The Ice Cap Is Growing"
According to the US National Snow and Ice Data Centre in Colorado, Arctic summer sea ice has increased by 409,000 square miles, or 26 per cent, since 2007 – and even the most committed global warming activists do not dispute this.

One of us is definitely suffering from "Ostrich Syndrome." I wonder which one it is? liar

I just noticed that you used a GISS chart. Now it all makes sense. NASAs chief exaggerator is a fool and a fraud and anyone who understands his agenda would see his BS for what it is.

Without improvements in efficiency way back then would we be able today to perform this research on the World Community Grid?

Looking forward to doing more with less in the future

Sek what did you expect the BBC's Environment Correspondent to claim?

How many times is 2007 mentioned in that piece?

Reality

http://www.ijis.iarc.uaf.edu/en/home/seaice_extent.htm

Inside the envelope

We can predict that this year with great confidence that it will not join all the other years in the "inexorable death spiral"

btw all that melt water... it freezes at the bottom

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

In just 7 days the 2011 CET "Annual Mean Anomally" has reduced by 0.27C (1.19 down to 0.92)

Which is a change of over -22% in one week

biggrin

Let's hope this "alarming" temperature drop doesn't continue wink

Winter 2010-2011 Was Very Cold And Dry In The US
Posted on March 10, 2011 by stevengoddard

It was the 39th coldest and 16th driest winter since 1895.

Jeff Masters says that we are getting a lot of excess (imaginary) precipitation because of the excess (imaginary) warmth. This is based on his (imaginary) theory of global warming.--- https://stevengoddard.wordpress.com/2011/03/1...y-cold-and-dry-in-the-us/
