according to whom? not sure eso maybe you should google "No statistically significant warming since 1995"  Some rather significant Climate Scientist as I remember  Dave the Telecoms Engineer Cherrypicking again. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/8511670.stm E - How confident are you that warming has taken place and that humans are mainly responsible? I'm 100% confident that the climate has warmed. As to the second question, I would go along with IPCC Chapter 9 - there's evidence that most of the warming since the 1950s is due to human activity. |

Outside my window it's November 5th and they are celebrating the hanging, drawing and quartering of Guy Fawkes and his co-conspirators with bonfires, fireworks and toffee apples, after he was arrested after the failed Gunpowder Plot. There are some days when you wonder if this is not a misguided national annual celebration. Dave |

Citing a collapse in the volume of trading, the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) announced that it would terminate its emission allowance trading program at the end of this year after seven years of operation. CCX is a voluntary cap-and-trade program with over 300 member companies, including firms located in Australia, China, and India. CCX said that it will continue to register offset projects under a new registry to be created next year, and that the Chicago Climate Futures Exchange (a subsidiary of CCX) will continue to operate once the voluntary cap-and-trade program ends.
