Choose fallback project(s)

It would be nice if we could choose the project, or projects that get sent if your main project runs dry rather than the current situation whereby it sends whatever it thinks is best.

Re: Choose fallback project(s)

Yes, we've had many variations on this topic requested and proposed, to include what never to send in this situation to machine X or Y, or due an personal antipathy. Example are:

1- Weighting of sciences has been asked, e.g. 50% FAAH, 25% HFCC, 15% etc
2- Priorities in order A, B, C, etc
3- Never send me D,G,H (a client always fails at them e.g.) etc
4- Only then, "if there is no work..." kicking in.

These the most frequently sighted. There is a post by knreed discussing this.

I looked at some other multi-project BOINC sites and all they offer is this 'if there is no work send me anything else' (visit e.g. PrimeGrid). Probably something that requires Berkeley developers involvement to change the distributor daemon logic.

Can see your point though, so hope it get's bumped in some form.
