This is ~40% per science process of total system CPU time which is equal ~80% of 1 core in a dual core computer. i.e. 1 science app uses ~70% of the spare cycles, per core.
----------------------------------------Does that make sense?

In genuary I had set % CPU = 85 ( and each CPUs worked 85 % ) ...then in 5 hours my two processors worked two applications of 4 hours each one . I remember that in 8 hours at lest 12 processors hours were worked . Sorry for my English. PS - CPU % = X means that X cannot be passed ....then also ( X - 30 ) is right ?!? |

I cannot raise CPU % ............ ................though I 've set 70 % CPU it is about 40 % ! I use web setting (devices profiles) because the GUI in local Advance > preference doesn't show the place where to set CPU %. This part is very stupid, but the BOINC interface does not show the "expand" triangle right hand bottom of the preferences interface. Just grab it with mouse to make the window bigger. You're on overrides as shows in your message log, so whatever is set on the website may not be what's in effect. You can clear them locally to know for sure which preferences are in operation. Yes, X = 80% means running 4 seconds, pausing 1 second. See new FAQ. No worries bout your Inglese. Parlando Italiano, ma non ho capito niente ;>)

The problem is, you ARE using local preferences according you message log. You have to clear them. Operare Pulisci o cancellare la file global_prefs_override.xml ma guarda ancora la destra inferiore ;>)
----------------------------------------Tua versione BOINC?
