Me too ... oh, you mean stat's. biggrin
They are up to version 3.19 at AQUA but seem to have the major problems resovled now. I am looking for a huge jump in RAC there in the next couple of days (fingers crossed). My two 64-bit machines just don't like it there so I put them back at GPUGrid. The perils of a new project. I remember going through all this a GPUGrid when I first started. It seems inconceivable but with their current points structure I could do 350-400K credits/day there wiith just the cards.

Wow, that does seem like a HUGE amount.. have they already adjusted the credits before?

Dr. Mike..

Yes, they appear to have reduced them by about 40% since the original roll out. Closer to but still better than GPUGrid. My problem is that I have had about 30 days of comp errors mostly due to "maximum run time exceeded". They have fixed than now. I should have aborted them but it is painful to abort a wu that has run 40 hours with 10 to go. But then it blows up. wink Hopefully I am over the hump now and can start completing them. I have 10 cards now (8 at AQUA and 2 at GPUGrid). Today, I took an old IBM ThinkCenter (P4 processor) and put a spare MoBo in it. All it has in it is a card and a hard drive. I'm not running the CPU's in it ... just the card. If all 10 were at AQUA, I could do 350K/day. That is if I can get all the stars in allignment. laughing biggrin laughing

EDIT: I'm going to kill myself when I get my electric bill this month. laughing biggrin laughing

Any where would be cheaper than California. sad You know what is funny? The only card that has completed every wu sent to it is my XP machine with the 8500GT and a Pentium D processor. It takes 2-3 days but keeps cranking them out. laughing The P4 I did today is interesting too. P4's ran hot and used alot of electrons but not using the CPU's the cores are cold and card is cool. Jonathan may have a use for his P4's if he can find some cheap mobo's. laughing

Good morning MOT. Still cool and cloudy here. smile

I finished two more AQUA's (80K). Some observations:

You must be using version 3.19
You must be using nVidia 185.85 or better
BOINC 6.6.xx or better
Slower cards are performing better than faster ones
Standard clocking works better than OC'ed cards
Runtime is now 50-80 hours

If the stars continue to align ... tomorrow and Monday will be BIG days (fingers crossed)

coffee

Yeah, I think my 260 GTX is less efficient for this work. After I finish the four AQUA wu's I dled, I'm going back to GPU Grid.

I have not been watching the points thing since Keith's stats machine has been disabled. I bet we both get passed by esoteric17 before long. It is all about the cures/solutions but the points thing is kinda fun smile

Summer heat will cause me to slow down a bit soon. As others have said, the electric bill will kill me. crying

i noticed you were gaining quickly last week and didn't want you to blow past me without the proper salute!

as for esoteric17, i know we're losing ground to our new crunchmaster, but we've been here a lot longer and have a big lead. with that said, nothing could make me happier than to have esoteric17, blizzie, and all the rest knock me down the list. the further down i go the more results MOT is putting together.

C'mon guys! catch me! biggrin

as for the power issue, i'm thankful that all my machines are running at the office. no need to power down for the summer.

Grrr.... All of my AUQA wu's have been blowing up as well. I had one running on my 275 for three days and it blew up. My son's 260 hasn't completed one yet!
Right now I have 2 more 3.17 Aqua's left. I might just blow them away and let it get the 3.19 wu's...
