screensaver freeze

hi,
just a little post to signal that the screensaver installed with BOINC made my PC freeze during screensaver is running.
then i just can see and move the curser with the mouse but clicks and keyboard are not usable. they may function but i can't see it ...
(ctrl+alt+suppr by exemple can't help me inthis situation)

i have to reboot manualy.

i post because i don't find a better place to do it.

I have the same problem here.

The screen saver doesn't disappear, so I'm unable to use my computer, even if I see the mouse arrow moving over the world community grid images.

The workaround is to put the computer to sleep (windows key -> cursor key up -> enter) and wake it up again.

Hello lubhz,
I am glad you found a work-around. I always congratulate myself when I figure out a way to crush a problem.

It would be helpful if you gave us some more information about the system with this problem. The easy way is just to cop y the BOINC Manager Messages tab after a boot. That saves a lot of typing and lets everyone see what the problem system looks like.

Think to have read this is a known bug that should have been fixed in 6.2.xx, but definitely, definitely fixed in 6.6. Set the screensaver to blank or anything else not BOINC related, with password, and you wont have it again.
