I just installed a GTX260.   Sweet. Which one? Link to newegg specs? If you got an MSI V2 or V3 Overclocked edition, bravo. PNY VCGGTX260CXPB XLR8 260 Core 216 896MB DVI Gee, and I thought learning Spanish was tough.. Guess no one likes my humor.. :( Dr. Mike.. Actually, I prefer CNN myself but I suspect most of the crowd here tends towards Fox News.  FAIL! Daily Show & Colbert Report (plus MSNBC for Olbermann & Maddow) FTW! CNBC  |

I used to be a rabid conservative, social conservative, fiscal conservative. Then I became a libertarian and gave up the social conservatism. At this point, after this economic downturn, I've lost faith in the ability of the market to reasonably regulate many industries. At this point, I'm leaning Social Democrat, pretty far left of Obama, but still pro-gun... As a liberal on Colbert's show the other day said, "All we have to do is build up the gay NRA constituency, that's how you protect gay rights." |

Jonathan, WCG doesn't show anyone new. I think that's Esoteric17. It appears he changed his user name back on Tuesday. The username you see on BOINCStats does not always match. Under BOINC Combined, he was showing up as "Jeff". That's my best guess. Some folks have different user names at different projects and changing them to match may show up like this too. |

----------------------------------------Looks like I've finally gotten the CUDA application working. I'm in the process of cleaning up the code, and it should be available for you to play around with tonight. It's my first crack at a CUDA application, so it's a bit rough, but currently it's crunching the current stripe 82 WUs in around a minute using a GeForce 9600M GT. I'm sure there's quite a bit more optimization we can to do get it running even faster, as this is the first version and not optimized at all. Part of the reason this has taken so long was that I was doing quite a bit of testing comparing double and single precision math on the GPU. I've come up with some schemes that will allow us to use older graphics cards which don't support double precision math (like the GeForce I've been using); which should let a lot more of our users be able to use the GPU application. More news later when I post the code.--Travis" Anyone want to walk point?  |
