On my FC6 box I have about half of my HPFII jobs run for 40-60 hours before I abort them (the other half run for about 7 hours.) Has anyone come up with a fix that I missed in the forum? HPFII runs perfectly on my Windows machine so I don't want to stop helping with the project.

If half of your HPF2 jobs on FC6 (Fedora?) loop 40-60 hour, it's better to attach this box to a separate device profile and deselected HPF2 just for that one machine. You can have 4 different device profiles which you can create/access via My Grid > Device Manager. Each can have a different selection of projects.
----------------------------------------Unfortunately there is no fix, for we don't know the cause. A simple restart most always lets them finish properly.

The machine is not used for anything but Community Grid now. I'd rather not do a reboot every day. It actually worked fine when it operated as a server. I've become a bit fed up with troubleshooting since I was laid off from an IT job over a year ago so I'll settle for this solution. |
