Re: Many WU in error on one of my PC's

If you look at the architecture of processors you will see that they consist of many different specialized units. If one is fully busy running instructions which use a few simpler units it will be cooler that if they use the most demanding ones.

Re: Many WU in error on one of my PC's

I am getting errors from time to time too. on a new I7 860 I just put into production using Windows 7 64 Bit. all other projects work fine. Project works ok on my older dual core with windows XP.. I would hate to stop any work on this project.. but I may adjust my dual core to just work this project and leave it up to the I7 to handle all the rest.

Re: Many WU in error on one of my PC's

Not the requested answer, but No, clean installed W7-64 RTM on Wednesday on my Q6600 and ran a series of 29, in 1,2,3,4 concurrent. Using the 6.10.18 64 bit client. One failed with the well known docking 401 line right in a period when there were wifi lan issues trying to get the right drivers and apply them. In the end the OEM software by RAlink who makes the electronics for D-Link's DWA-140 802.11N wifi plug made it work. Latter mfr has as yet not indicated they'll be updating theirs for W7.
