No, I did not mean you.
---------------------------------------- I did mean acpartsman. I also know you will use any excuse to entice my team members to follow you to unknown destinations. I also know you will give them back.(sometimes) ![]() ![]() |

David and I have been best friends since high school so we try to do things together although crunching together is mostly what we have time for these days. We do get together occasionally for lunch and he helps me with computer issues when they get over my head.
----------------------------------------No worries John, we will return in 10 days. ![]()

I was asked to post "my solution" to a "problem" I was having here, so I am. It is not rocket science. I was connected to all projects and had add new projects when they start ticked. I changed it so that I ticked the project that I was missing work for, and then ticked "if there is no work for that project, send others". I then got work from the project I was missing in preference to the others. Fairly self evident, but, hey.

Nice to see you here, Fossaw
Nice to see your updated Forum Profile as well - Fossaw and I have 'talked' a little in some badge recognition threads. So this is how you opened the pipe line for Childhood Cancer so you can earn that badge? I recommended this team as a place for professional as well as social communication. I hope you would also contemplate joining team SeriousCrunchers by KLiKing this and then KLiK 'Join Team' Later on, I'll teach you to trek with Base Camp if that catches your fancy, Fossaw ![]() |

Come on you know you want to click that little button and join SeriousCrunchers. I know that we seem to be the jump off point for most Base Camp expeditions. (much to my surprise) We are a (as of now) small team of like minded individuals that crunch for the common good of humanity. So come on in and enjoy the hospitality of this fine team. ![]() Wow that was preachy even for me. ![]() ![]() |

My understanding is that these "treks" involve joining a team for a short limited period then returning to where we were before, right? How long does a "trek" last?

sujo1's secretary just whizzes in:
----------------------------------------- oh, you didn't know you had one, sujo1! Well, I'm only a temp and I do this for free. This time. Yes, you understood the technique of trekking perfectly, Fossaw. Treks involve joining another team for a limited period of time and returning to one's 'home team' when it's over. Occasionally, a Base Camper likes the grass so well at a host team's field that he decides to make it his new home. Typically a trek will last 10 days - it can be less or more; 30 days have been seen. We happen to have room for more Base Campers on our current trek to Maine Have you been to Maine before, Fossaw? In my signature you'll find the key for locking yourself into this Maine trek and earn yourself your first Base Camp badge ![]() along with a mention in the Base Camp Hall of Fame ![]() ADDED: I should mention that all of your production is counted with you at any time. If/when you trek, your host team will get your points - that's the point if I may say so and your home team starts to get your points again when you return. ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Apr 23, 2018 4:52:12 PM] |
