TLD, you commented some time ago about the places where I walk being pretty. I said I had sought out a number (all with different qualities - muddy, non muddy, shelter for the wind, shade for the sun, sunny, ocean view etc.). Today I knew exactly where to go because of a slight snow cover and bright sun: The Sheep Hills You can see the entire series of pictures concerning our winter that came late here Looks like a nice place to walk with the right equipment (hiking boots, coat with good vents). around here that area would be covered with trees unless that is a farmers field. ![]() See you in Mexico. ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by TLD at Mar 31, 2018 7:09:51 PM] |

The hills are a semi-nature conservation area that the sheep are to keep free of bushes. Down in the valley it's fields. As you can see there is a wood as well, but not nearly the size of your forests.
See you in Mexico. Thank you, Ted. We'll keep the light on for you |

Some of them must be 'up in the air' between you and Mexico City.
So far only Doneske and tanner2 have been allowed in by the Mexican INS, and they made this nice picture of them: Congratulations with your new cores. 36 are a lot. Now, be a good King till the guys return .... and don't forget to stock up in your refrigerator and get the barberque readied with that bag of charcoal .... ![]() Please hide the bag if you see adriverhoef coming down your driveway ... |

I was just about to say that sujo1 sounds a lot friendlier on this first day of April than last time we 'met', but now that little mermaid is telling sujo1 to hide his charcoal-bag behind his back I'm not so sure anymore ...
----------------------------------------Maybe I'd better stay here on this April Fools day, put on my rocking shoes and Turn My Radio On. ![]() [Edit 2 times, last edit by adriverhoef at Apr 1, 2018 11:02:21 AM] |

I’m sorry for not making myself clear, adriverhoef.
----------------------------------------I didn’t ask – implicitly or otherwise – sujo1 to hide that bag of charcoal behind his back. No-no-no, I just wanted him to remove it from your view in order not to revive traumatic memories. You will like this piece of news from Denmark: The Government will prohibit charcoal It has come to an end polluting with charcoal grilling in Denmark we don’t barberque, we grill when the Danes want grilled sausages. The EnergyClimateandUtilityminister has published that charcoal is incompatible with Denmark’s wish to be a Climate Leader. The minister says: ’I know we’re playing with fire, when we prohibit the Danes from using charcoal right before the start of the grilling season. But we have to think of our children and grandchildren.’ Thank you for the music. I prefer to dance barefoot, so if you promise not to step on my feet … Shall we? Rock? ![]() EDIT: Some layout [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Apr 1, 2018 2:09:33 PM] |

I’m sorry for not making myself clear, adriverhoef. You have to do better than that, little mermaid. I'm still traumatized by theI didn’t ask – implicitly or otherwise – sujo1 to hide that bag of charcoal behind his back. No-no-no, I just wanted him to remove it from your view in order not to revive traumatic memories. event when you sent me on that trip to get some charcoal for a 'barbeknoei' (Dutch for making a mess of barberqueuing) and sujo1 planted a bag of charcoal on my head before I even spoke a word. What's more (some may say I'm lucky) I don't have a memory left of coming back and arriving at the Harlingen hospital. You will like this piece of news from Denmark: That's very good news indeed. Much better than here: "Despite objections from the city council, the port of Rotterdam has extended the contract with the largest coal dealer in Europe by 25 years." Should we be proud now of the polluting key function of Rotterdam? The Government will prohibit charcoal It has come to an end polluting with charcoal grilling in Denmark we don’t barberque, we grill when the Danes want grilled sausages. The EnergyClimateandUtilityminister has published that charcoal is incompatible with Denmark’s wish to be a Climate Leader. The minister had a chance to prohibit (commercial) firecrackers, but failed due to the Rutte cabinet. A large proportion of the bees are still threatened with extinction. At the end of March there would be a vote in Europe on a ban on 3 neonicotinoid pesticides that are very harmful to these valuable creatures. The vote has been postponed. How difficult can it beee? ![]() |

I must say that i am being much maligned about this charcoal business.
---------------------------------------- !st off I do not own a pickup. I do own a 4 wheel drive Toyota 4runner. 2nd how was I to know that a meer 100 lbs bag of charcoal would traumatize anyone. I guess he should of ducked. If he wants to try again, I promise to only use 20# bags. ![]() Ps: HAPPY EASTER To all SeriousCrunchers far and wide, And to the wcg family. ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by sujo1 at Apr 1, 2018 4:36:02 PM] |

@sujo1: adriverhoef is European. Europeans will find even a 20# bag terrifying.
----------------------------------------Happy Easter to you and Sue also @adriverhoef: It seems to me that your memory is returning if ever so slowly. I don't know if it is good for you. I'm really sorry that I sent you on that trip Yes, I realize I should do better. I thought hiding the charcoal would be OK, but I see that the mere mentioning of it is too much. By the way: They have located the seven containers you managed to throw to the bottom of the Great Belt before they dressed you in a strait jacket Well, it doesn't look good for Rotterdam as the coal hub of Europe. Does it come from China? Australia? Firecrackers - you don't need another accident like the one you told about. To me fireworks are fine set up by professionals. OK, the lobbyist conquered the bees once more. I suppose the postponed vote was this one The wheels stopped completely Here is a piece of optimistic news. We need that. If you read the article you will notice some ridiculous (I think) argumentation from the lobbyist. Probably, the neonicotinoids lobbyist has succeeded with similar foolish argumentation and - could be - brown envelopes ![]() P.S. The charcoal prohibition was an April Fool joke ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Apr 1, 2018 5:22:31 PM] |

The Government will prohibit charcoal It has come to an end polluting with charcoal grilling in Denmark we don’t barberque, we grill when the Danes want grilled sausages. The minister says: ’I know we’re playing with fire, when we prohibit the Danes from using charcoal right before the start of the grilling season. But we have to think of our children and grandchildren. Well there goes my chance of ever moving to Denmark, there's no way to get a burger or hotdog to taste the way it does when grilled over charcoal.Don't get me wrong, I'm not a supporter of pollution but there are bigger fish to fry than banning charcoal. How about putting their foot down on the oil cartel and releasing all the hidden technology that will have us all driving cars that either get over 200 mpg or one that will run for years without needing fuel of any kind? And electric cars are a joke, the pollution from making the electricity exceeds the pollution that would've been created by the internal combustion engine they replace. The Fisker is the only electric car that I've ever seen that made any sense at all and they ran them out of business. Tesla and other electrics vs Fisker is no different then the big 3 vs Tucker back in '49. Get the Government in your pocket and the competition will fail every time.
One drop raises the sea.
