Seeing one more of the cd-key peddlers, did a multi proposal to get them gone sooner than they can post. They read the forums too, so not elaborating. Just please do not bounce them threads in annoyance.

I mean, what about allowing to post on the WCG only users that have sent at least one result back? This is a simple rule that could filter out these fools...

It seem that i missunderstood some posts and was missunderstood myself.
----------------------------------------So i will not give my opinion anymore in this thread. But just one idea : Is there a way for forbid posts containing some key words like "cd-key ". This could help as the spams always contain the same words. I don't know mvnforum and do'nt know if it is in the options, or if there is an Addon to do that. Post edited to correct some english fault (sorry, i'm french ) ---------------------------------------- [Edit 2 times, last edit by boulmontjj at Mar 28, 2009 7:04:50 PM] |

I mean, what about allowing to post on the WCG only users that have sent at least one result back? This is a simple rule that could filter out these fools... The problem is that it would also filter out members who have problems for installing Boinc or processing their first WU! So this is not a good solution. Be sure that we (WCG and CAs) are discussing ways to avoid these posts. Meanwhile please do not bump these posts as you have done in the HFCC forum. If you really want to signal them please use the red icon at the bottom right of the post. Thank you for understanding. Jean. |

The problem is that it would also filter out members who have problems for installing Boinc or processing their first WU! So this is not a good solution. You´re right, I had not seen through this possibility. Will start marking them as asked when I see them. |
