Is it just me or did something change? I am positive that I was set up to contribute to all projects including new ones, but I was surprised to see that this option was disabled in my settings and I wasn't configured to be considered for any work on 'help fight childhood cancer' and the 'clean energy project.' I figured that it was a good idea to post this because I doubt I'm the only one affected.

If you choose to receive work for only one project, the project may, at times, not have work units available for download. For this reason, we recommend that you select more than one project. If there is no work available for my computer for the projects I have selected above, please send me work from another project. Please opt me in to new projects as they become available. Changes will not take effect until the next time that your grid agent communicates with the servers (i.e., when the current work unit has finished processing At the end you nust save [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Mar 21, 2009 6:41:02 AM] |

I did that already. I did some searching of the forums and I see that it also happened to Snow Crash in this thread
----------------------------------------This should be a concern if the projects want maximum participation. |

So then you saw SekĀ“s replied to Snow Crash ;
If you had the "opt me in to new projects" ticked, it will be. The script takes a while to populate all member profiles, last time it took quite some time. |

Yes but the point is that they didn't update all member profiles as knreed mentions on page 2, so there are likely many other users that are unwittingly not connected to projects.
----------------------------------------How did I even find out about the HFCC project? Facebook of all places. So there's also an e-mail that WCG should've sent out by now. |

Hi coolbrooks,
----------------------------------------It's been reported in backroom. Some get caught out because there are 2 places, the My Projects and the Device Profiles themselves. If a change was made to My Projects it goes to all device profiles, but if a change is made to a device profile later, it wont be told by the My Projects settings if a new project arrives. That's why it's important to have the new projects and "give me work for other projects" are ticked. Means you get work for new projects if your regular ones run low. It's rather estranging that you had all projects and now see both TCEP, launched Dec.5 and HFCC, launched Mar.13 are not ticked. WCG is not very e-mail to member oriented. There is a Newsletter coming out sometime soon. To stay tuned automatically is to subscribe to watch Member news and set a feed link in your browser. Anything on projects and events will then be home delivered by email and browser RSS feed.
