How about this for a short WU (and for a massive claim difference):

Did you compare the logs of the 2 results as we now can?
----------------------------------------Still, there seem to be results slipping through that somehow are bit for bit equal, yet strictly are not complete, that would be my thought to go with seeing this pair.

Has the 'pot' run dry???? Seems like ... I get now WU from other projects assigned. It would be really nice if they kept enough work going on this project, like the other WCG projects do...... |

What size uploads is everyone seeing on the type B tasks? I have finished 3 of the type B tasks and was able to monitor 2 of the completions. Each task's upload was approximately 7.5 MB among 4 files with the _1 file being the largest. Managed to spot one. 9.5MB total, with the largest (_1) file being 8.96MB |

Message from server: No work sent Message from server: No work available for the applications you have selected. Please check your settings on the website. Message from server: (won't finish in time) Computer on 80.3% of time, BOINC on 97.4% of that The server messages mean that the server has no task to send that your client could process fast enough. On the other hand your client "thinks" that it may ask for 369 hours (~15 days) of work. It looks like that - - either the control files of your client have been completely disturbed by some event (like a task whose predicted duration was very badly estimated) - or you are using one of those Boinc versions which are known for having flaws in their scheduling algorithm. You can- - leave Boinc run as long as possible and probably progressively recover as time goes - or go to the project tab and (1) stop asking for new work from WCG (2) let WCG tasks in process complete (3) reset WCG - or tell us more about your environment and your selection of projects if you want us to understand your particular case more precisely. Cheers. Jean. Edit: Added the quote to the subject post ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by JmBoullier at Mar 22, 2009 11:50:13 PM] |
