Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 33 smilesmile

a couple of small thoughts for the day (i think being up to two is an improvement for me)

first, from my end, the quote truncation thing is dependent on the screen size. i never lost a word of any of the quotes, but then i have a 22 inch screen set at 1680x1050

second, for all you grid guys, check out this article from engadget
how many cards?
you guys are falling behind wink

BONUS THOUGHT (the cause for the edit)
we need new paper laughing

I want two of them. biggrin

New paper would be nice. A WCG upgrade to forum software that actually works would be better. wink

I want to correct that article from Engadget. That farm does not belong to the person who posted that Youtube video.

The farm rightfully belongs to AtlasFolder and the video was stolen from him:

Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 33 smilesmile

I should be moving to Missouri at the end of next week. Not sure what i'll do with my current desktop, other than I might hook it up when I get there.

I would like to buy a new desktop for my office. Any ideas where and what I should buy?

Mike..

What do you need to do with the new one other than crunch, Mike?

Crunch..
Word Processing (nothing major..)
Internet..
Games.. nothing like a serious gamer..

Mike..

OK. For a given amount of money, you can build a much better machine than you can buy off the self. Assuming you don't want to build one, I'd suggest you go the Newegg, Tigerdirect, Amazon, etc and look in their gaming category and find a quad that fits your price range. Then add a higher-end vid card. I'd suggest a power supply of 600W or more to have some flexibility for future upgrades. That will satisfy your gaming and crunching needs. For the needs you expressed, it just depends on how much you want to spend. If you find something you like, you can post it here and I am sure the MOTley Crew will critique it. biggrin

Enjoy Missouri and persumably your new job. You, for sure, need to stay in touch with us here. That is as good a deal as i have seen and Dittos with the job--I was working in Mo. in the sixtys and we had an earthquake.

I vaguely remember hearing about that. Right there in the heartland; Not what one would expect. At the time, I was in the panhandle of Texas where you could watch a Jackrabbit run away from you all day long. smile (It is that flat) smile smile

Missouri is prone to the occasional very large earthquake. The earthquakes in New Madrid, Mo, around 1811 - 1812 are some of the most powerful that have struck the continental US in the last couple hundred years.
