Not so good. sad

In about a week or so I'll make it 38. It won't be as grand an entrance as Esoteric17's, but what do you want for free? And besides, my leaving a top 10 team will make it easier for you to catch them!

Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 33 smilesmile

Great News! darth_vader will be joining us! We welcome you to our eclectic bunch. Now we need the rest of the Sith Lords. Sidious, Maul, and others.

What was the Chancelors' name? Palpatine? Was he Sidious? Memory fading. I am thinking that come Easter, I will be able to hide my own eggs.

Looks like we (MOT) rank #36 at the moment.

Yup, I have lost all illusions about the fairness and honesty of both big business and certainly Government. I have always said that out Government sucks but it is better than any known alternative. I begin to wonder at times. I worked inside the corporate offices of one of the largest corporations in the world for quite a few years. Despite the rhetoric, people are merely replaceable parts that are dispensable as necessary or desired. The layoff of my son is just another in a very long list of examples of that. Fortunately, this one has been the closest to home so far.
That was a bummer comment. As the old Irish saying goes “Hooray Anyway “ smile

Everyone have a great day!

These days it seems that this is what has to pass for good news since the bad news seems to be really bad. I've never been a fan of lots of government regulation but lately, it seems clear that we can trust Wall Street and the corporate boardrooms about as much as our politicans in Washington. Still, having Washington regulate big business looks an awful lot like having the fox guard the henhouse. Maybe more appropriately it's like having the prisoners at Supermax guard themselves. Far too many companies see their employees as commodities, an expense to be managed and cut. A company that sees employees as human beings is an anachronism now. The past couple of years has really soured me on corporate management.

Both of your comments are interesting. I think we need to be careful not to collectively tar all corporations or government entities with the same brush. I have worked in both private enterprise and government service. There are both scoundrels and great people working in both. Root out the scoundrels and encourage the great people to make their respective enterprises better.

Thanks for the opportunity to comment.

Cheers
