Good morning (nearly afternoon) nothing to get out of bed for this am, It's been tedding it down for the last 48hrs and I have the central heating on it's so cold! was to go car booting earlier but think I'll give it a miss. Oh well there's the Turkish Grand Prix to look forward too at lunch time, Jenson Button has inspired me to watch F1 again and (fingers crossed) I just might be playing a small role in it once more next year, it depends on Mosely standing his ground on the new capping rules.

Evening all
Still pretty cool here and the forecast for the next few days doesn't promise anything much better. Anyway, I have much more serious problems to sort out. How to find a definitive way of placing the bird seed feeder in such a way that it isn't taken over by the squirrels. I think I'm nearly there but I'm still not sure that they can't out think me. |

Yes it is 'THE PICNIC'. There is an Inn to which we can retire to if the weather is inclement Are we going to have a point where we make a decision beforehand based on the weather forecast, so I know whether to bring picnic goodies, or just some pocket money for the hostelry? Assuming that the weather is good - any preferences for grub? I was going to go down to the Supermarket the day before and make a decision then. My theatre group does an "everyone bring a dish" thing for the closing night party and after one play last year, most people brought sausage rolls and we didn't have much else :-) Having not been to a UD picnic for a few years, I wondered if anything similar might have happened - keen to avoid a culinary faux pas. |

Last year I brought enough for me and a bit extra.
I shall prbably bring some ham rolls, packets of crisps, some fruit, and some drink. The idea being that it all gets eaten, and I can throw the bag away and travel back empty handed. Oh, I'll bring some money for the pub. Who says it's going to rain??? |
