Re: e

Evening all

Sunny all day here but with a coolish breeze.

Must pop to the TV before long to see the results of the Booker prize. I have the shortlisted books but still have two to read. I fancy Julian Barnes to be the favourite but I wouldn't put money on it.

Re: e

Good moaning all...........

A bright start to the day but very chilly here in the midlands.

Plumbers have been busy the last two days fitting new boiler and radiators in my home, switched on for the first time yesterday evening.....sheer bliss..... smile what a difference compared to the old system, we now have almost instant hot water in the kitchen and the old place feels so much warmer, just hoping the bills this coming winter won't now cost so much!!

Have a good day all, stay warm, stay safe............... good luck rose

Owld boilers

Morning all .

Good to hear about your new cave heating system Tony.

I am assuming that its a condensing boiler???
Thing to check before we get a repetition of last years heavy frosts .

There is an exhaust drain when the boiler is running that continues discharge .
Its important that this is free to drain, frozen pipe stops the boiler firing This happened to me early part of this year
The drain should not be exposed to the outside atmosphere.
Its an installation fault that shouldn't now occur engineers should be aware.
If you have a inch&half bore open ended plastic pipe new from this installation running outside check it when boiler is running.

get them back to change it

Keep Warm
