Well I am back guys, although this 'machine' didn't want to let me in - lucky I remembered one of my many 'passwords'.
Hopefully, I will be able to remain 'in' now - got lots of new medication, so if it works, and it allows me to resume my walks, then I shall be back here getting on your nerves as usual! ![]() |

Welcome back Merle
---------------------------------------- We do not think Your a pain in the rear An annoyance to be avoided Or anysuch nastyness.. Its a dull day without a Merle-ism Just returned From the workplace. Yesterday the cleaner couldn't get into the office as some one had dropped the snick on the Yale lock that we never use and hadn't a key for so I was called out at half seven to try to get into the office I did have visions of drilling locks out but in the end there is another door into the office from the office next door, again not been used for years both sides of the door way had cupboards in front the first one was easy to move the door luckily opened into the room then the cupboard in the locked office was full and weighed a ton O managed to get a carjack against it and slowly levered the thing far enough from the dooway to allow one of the slim maids we employ (Thats Maid /Gal, not as in serving maid) to clamber up and over she does rock climbing and potholing.Today I have removed the Yale and made good the holes where it fitted. I was going to repair a window replace rotting wood scarf in some new timber but its hissing down so I'm back home. Today the PR /Fund raising gang are at Holker Hall for two days, Its horse trials and carriage driving "Phil the Greek" is attending I could have gone but I do have things that have been on to-do list for long enough & I know he's going to ask Where's Den? but he'll just have to get by without me ![]() ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by densnaps at Aug 6, 2011 12:16:12 PM] |

Good to see you again, sweetie
Good - still - Morning! - I mean: I'm late, but it's still morning your time Overslept and across-the-hall-neighbor with a paranoid psychosis - sometimes better controlled than others - had to summon me for the morning coffee at 1000 - the Cold from Hell is making a second appearance - subdued - but making mushy-if-you-like of my brain - would this be a "retro virus" - and thanking all gods: We have no weather either - I wouldn't be able to make a report enough for all of us yet <cannot count with mushy>? |

Good decision I reckon Den!! You will be so pleased when there is nothing left on the "jobs to do" list! ![]() The last three weekends I have been busy with Cancercare events . enjoyable but there goes another weekend...... Pleased when jobs to do list is empty??? I cant see it ever being near getting MT.... There is always some task in hand. There is a Granite kitchen work top and new sink to be fitted Its in the Garage waiting till the weather is not fit to be out in, Dont want to plan it when it might show up sunny . I have three gazebos in pieces in the garage all damaged by wind at events . I dont know if you have seen these things two dozen box section tubes all pivoted with nylon joints To make a space frame that when erected you drape with a nylon cover guy ropes to hold it down.. These three have broken struts or joints so I have dismantled the beasts in an attempt to make one good one from the three ****************************** This week our bees At Slynedales have given us some Honey This is our second year of Bee keeping last year the production was only enough for sustaining the colony through the winter. So we are Enjoying the fruits of the bees labour. Honey is a cure all for many things its antiseptic heals wounds and fixes allergies. I did suffer from hay fever and eating LOCAL honey gives you some antibodies that can eliminate all symptoms. But best of all its not too bad on toast ![]() |

Evening all
Plenty of sunshine today but not particularly warm but we spent much of the morning looking after neighbour's very large dog whilst they had potential buyers looking round. Sadly they are soon off as he is part of the BBC being transferred to Manchester. |
