I'm off out with my camera, I'd normally do this when on holiday abroad, so why not when I have spare day here in the UK.  That's fine - as long as we get to see the results!   |

Bank holiday greetings to all , This is the "early May bank holiday" Not May day bank Holiday as may day was Friday? Neither is it Whitsun bank holiday that's at the end of the month titled Spring bank Holiday 25th May, Whisunday is the weekend following .............. Wish they would stop messing about with traditional Bank holidays Good morning all.  so many bank holidays. How many holidays do the banks there take in a year? Here there are only 10.Y'all have a great day.

Just like a true Brit Bank Holiday, it's been the coolest day here for a long time. A timely reminder to me to make sure I've got a sweater in my bag when I go to Lord's on Wednesday. |

I'm off out with my camera, I'd normally do this when on holiday abroad, so why not when I have spare day here in the UK. That's fine - as long as we get to see the results! Your wish is my command! I sent a couple of the best ones to you by e-mail and I'm happy to forward them on to anyone else who is interested. I think I am going to have to sort out all my favourite Dorset photos and put them on my website, but first I need to sort out my photos from my Christmas holiday.  I hope you all had a good bank holiday today  |

Here there are only 10.Y'all have a great day. its not so much the number (Eight in UK) its just the uneven distribution Just having had Easter, Good Friday and easter Monday then we have short gap till the two in May then two months till the August 31st aptly named August bank holiday.Then Christmas and new year we do sneak a extra day this year as Boxing day falls on a Saturday we claim Monday the 28th as a Bank holiday . The US of A has 14  in total . |
