Now then serious stuff....
----------------------------------------Does any one remember home built guns that fired spent Matches a schoolboy thing then, now a granddad thing ????? just to prove things that amuse don't all need a couple of AA cells and can be made from rubbish Components if I recall correctly were a Lolly stick rubber bands and a match box , that's a proper box made from thin sheets of wood not cardboard very stiff. the rubber band were wound up to give tension and the match released by a simple trigger /lolly stick I very much doubt that I will be able to find a pukka box tho if and when I do build this WMD will have to hide it before someone declares you'll have someone's eye out with that needs a bit of thinking about this ![]() ---------------------------------------- [Edit 2 times, last edit by densnaps at Feb 16, 2011 3:27:13 PM] |

....no Merle since the 10th! Not feeling wonderful and on top of everything else, had a massive tooth extraction last Monday at 8.30 am! I was good at childbirth (yep, I know, too much information!) but dragging large teeth out of tender gums, I am not so good at!. Still on the pain killers, and have taken to long sessions on the settee, from where I can see the layers of dust gradually mounting higher on the furniture! Have more or less put anything resembling "work" on hold for a few more days, although have to go and mind daughter and son-in-laws little sweetie-pie of a dog on Friday. He will expect walks and lots of play, so I guess some sort of effort by me is more or less demanded! Hope all the rest of you are keeping fine. At least my computer keeps grinding on so at least I am still contributing to WCG.[Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Feb 16, 2011 5:19:38 PM] |

Evening all
Aren't teeth a nuisance. I've been OK recently but in the distant past had troubles following bad dentistry which finally finished in a Bridge, beautifully done by a German dentist. Never knew my parents with their own nashers. In their time, working class folk had all the teeth taken out at an early stage to avoid the future cost of dentistry. I doubt that the sight of false teeth in a glass of water is seen today. |

Good news Merle Jack will cheer you up the teef are a source of trouble all of our lives if nothing worse than a pain in the wallet . Just to keep things straight (!! ), Jack is the grandson, who is going to work on Friday - hence the need for me to go over and mind Alfie (who is the lovely little doggie)!! ![]() |

BTW, the reason for my dog-minding is because my son-in-law is a fanatic 'biker', (rider that is!), and so he and daughter are going all the way to Manchester just to watch some other crazy bikers riding round and round on a track!! Obviously, dogs not welcome there!! Personally, I don't think people should be allowed to have pets if they are not willing to look after them at all times!! However, I do have to confess to loving the little darling (the dog that is!) to bits.
