Re: .

morning All, wet and windy
glad to see all of you managed to get through Ground Hog day on Wednesday smile
Two quack visits this week, following a ct scan and a treadmill just after Christmas .The respiration guy gave me two puffers to use and said my blood pressure was high (already knew that) he now wants me to have an echo cardiogram ( is that checking my wardrobe for matching pair's of jumpers?)
Finally the urologist signed me off back to the Gp that's signed off six monthly visits.
I had the op in 2006 and am clear ( its the other bits that are falling off)
stiff joints and back...

Re: .

Good morning ......

I have seen the wind through its invisibility
Sometimes I see the wind when it shows itself to me.

Sometimes the wind is brown and gritty and forms in twists and spires
Sometimes the wind is leafy greens and auburn reds on fire.

Sometimes the wind is snowy like- white and flaky in the sky.
And even once at the garbage dump it was papers passing by.

Once upon a summer day, the wind was new-mown lawn.
And on a drive in the countryside it was tumbleweeds tumbling along.

The wind is a chameleon, everchanging as it passes by.
Once in the spring it was a floating cascade of lilac petals in the sky.

The most beautiful sight was when the wind became a whirl of butterflies.
The wind flits through the air then falls to the ground and lies.

Yes, I have seen the chameleon wind and its ever-changing hues,
with the colors of the rainbow, will it show itself to you?

Christine K. Trease

Have a good day

Re: .

Question for all you medically aware folks
Why are you made to wear those stupid Hospital gowns back to front ???
I was given one the other day & was instructed to wear the ties at the back. something I have often had to do never seen the logic of it tho
okay that's not rocket science, however, the gown only had one tie so wouldn't fasten any way.And why have it open at the back they were doing a chest scan and I kept the gown On. why cant they be worn like a pinnyfore with a wrap over ???
When I go for the Echo Cardiogram My instructions received today directs the ladies to wear "separates" is that a Cardie and a Jumper???

Blokes just turn up as you are??

Re: .

Evening all

Dry and pleasantly warm so I was able to get back to my weekly walk to the supermarket and maybe get rid of the bit of flab that's accumulated in the last couple of months.

Just had the first missive of the year from my pensioners association and they've arranged a trip to the Dome early next month where the Titanic Artifact Exhibition is running currently. I shall certainly sign up for that.

As well as thinking that to be very interesting, I shall catch up again with a few of the other old fogies with the additional bonus that the tickets are half price because of a subsidy from the old firm.

Re: .

Good morning
Very windy here this am, in the garden the spring bulbs are starting to push their heads up through the ground so a sign that winter is hopefully on the wane.

Have a good weekend
