I watched the report from the Castle Alan. I have been inside on a couple of tours they take you to the Dungeons and shut the doors Its black as pitch no windows quite scary As Dave Guest the reporter said
twenty folks to a cell very cramped if you were lucky you might be the last to be banged up just before the circuit judge turned up if the cell was empty it could be weeks before he turned up again .
You needed to be friendly with the jailer He might hopefully provide you with clean straw every now and then
One of the local evening speakers an ex prison governor spoke at a function I attended He told us about a willful prisoner who was kicking off shouting abuse and wreaking his cell left to cool down he had the bright idea of Barricading his cell door .
Not being the brightest button in the box he seemed to have forgotten that the cell doors opened outwards ( as you will have seen on the news item)
