"get stuck"? If you want us to help, you will have to be more specific. What goes wrong? Where did you download the installer from?
If there is an error message, copy it down. |

Which ever version of boinc I install, it gets stuck at boinc.msi
----------------------------------------Even if I tell it where the file is, it can't install it. Downloaded version 6.2.28 from this site. doesn't work Downloaded various earlier verions from boinc. doesn't work. Already rebooted, run microsoft's cleanup wizard. still doesn't work. Makes no differance what options I choose on installation. "The feature you are trying to uses is on a network resource that is unavailable" Help. Patrick ![]() |

A good way to get around is finding the old version installer you had and rerunning it or unpacking it to the place the boinc.msi was removed from, which is the general cause why this happened... overeager clearing of files that at a future time may be needed to uninstall software.
----------------------------------------Added: Without further ado, the old 5.10.30 version download links for Windows: 32 bit: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/boinc_5.10.30_windows_intelx86.exe 64 bit: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/boinc_5.10.30_windows_x86_64.exe

If nothing else, this MSI Clean-up utility from M$ will do the job.
