How about 1 year for bronze, 5 years for silver, and 10 years for gold? And what about all those people who've got their Bronze, Silver & Gold badges - would they then loose them if they haven't met your requirements??? Methinks this particular idea would seriously cause ruptions in the ranks... No, it'd have to be NEW badges for higher contributions - as for what those would be (and also what contribution levels they'd be for), that's not for me to decide... Please also consider the fact, that not everyone has super fast or multiple computers that just solely crunch on WCG. For those with just 1 PC, with 1 CPU, achieving a Gold badge takes 90 DAYS at best (which is basically 3 months...). We certainly don't wish to discourage those folks from volunteering their spare CPU cycles by making the badges an impossibility to reach... ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by gb009761 at Feb 15, 2009 1:54:29 AM] |

...I was under the impression, probably mistaken, that this thread was about the order in which badges were displayed, not about their colour, or how long it takes to get them...etc....etc.....

I'd have one gold, two silver, two bronze. Maybe keep bronze level where it is and up the requirements for silver and gold? Say one year CPU time for silver and five years CPU time for gold? ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by David_L6 at Feb 15, 2009 3:14:49 PM] |

----------------------------------------I would delete my posts if I could. Very poor set up we have here as far as forums go. However, since the main purpose of this site isn't a forum, it'll do. **Edited for intolerance**tkh ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by TKH at Feb 16, 2009 2:06:42 PM] |
