Okay. It's Cyber Patrol.
In the single reference to this problem that I can find, Cyber Patrol was also present but "turned off". Seems it's one of those programs that won't quite go away. I have never used Cyber Patrol myself, so I can only give general advice. Create exclusions for: secure.worldcommunitygrid.org www.worldcommunitygrid.org Alternately, you may be able to exclude the boinc_master account from Cyber Patrol's sticky fingers. Thank you for your incredible patience with these interminable problems. |

I re-started CyberPatrol, and tried setting
secure.worldcommunitygrid.org www.worldcommunitygrid.org to approved site. It does not do anything with accounts as far as I can see. So to test the theory, I uninstalled CyberPatrol from this PC and rebooted, and BOINC worked! So now the question is, what are the correct settings for it to co-exist with CyberPatrol... |

I'm sorry, this is as far as I can take you. I think your next step is to call CyberPatrol support.
Well - actually, there is more we can try, but they would be educated guesses. |
