I fired up a new Quad last night. It went into sleep overnight but I have been tweeking it this morning. It has an Intel I7 920 processor and plenty of DDR3 memory. It should help some. smile

All my computers are named for characters from Lord of the Rings (how geeky is that?) Anyway this new one is Gimli (Dwarf King) (...very dangerous over short distances) smile

Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 31 smilesmile

I don't mind running a beta wu now and then but I am getting way too much. I just noticed one of my quads had 3 of the 4 processors working on Beta. I aborted one of them because it ticked me off and almost aborted the other two even though they have about 11 hours of CPU on them. How do I throttle the amount of Beta work down? angry

You can only turn it off completely.

All I need to do is give my Quad a 9800GT Jonathan... devilish

I just aborted another. It had been running over 11 hours and had 81 more hours to go.

Now for a long time, I have had a few projects selected and not the "If there is no work available for my computer for the projects I have selected above, please send me work from another project. "

At least I think that is the case and yet I get them. Unless there is something else I can do that I do not know about, I should not get any more.

By the way, I have noticed several HPFII WUs getting errors. I hope this isn't just me...I have noticed on two different machines.
