Re: Some Errors

Hello ND40oz,
There is no official policy, but most people who identify a computer that usually errors out on a project change their profile to avoid that project.

It just seems sensible.

Re: Some Errors

I got a lot of errors last months with HPF2, many times end after at most 1 minute or little bit more, but this week I crunched many for some hours (3-4) but finish in error status. Very hard and very bad !

Hope that this issue be solved soon.

Re: Some Errors

I've now set my project settings to avoid HPFP2 as suggested here sad, however I'm also supplying my statistics for others to reference as well as with hopes the WCG and BOINC techies fix the problem...

I have 5 BOINC 6.4.5 devices crunching for all projects all the time. One on WinXP-SP2 and 4 on WinVista.

Over the past 2 weeks I've had 46 work units for HPF2 of which 30 errored out within minutes (65.2% failure rate crying ). All 30 errors occurred on my 4 WinVisa machines. Of the 16 valid units, 8 were from my WinXP device while the remaining 8 were spread across my WinVistas. So yes - apparantly Vista can succeed in some cases wink .
