As noted hpf2+vista=fail a good percentage of the time. I simply deselected this work until the issue is resolved.

The last 30 my Vista 32 bit quad box completed for HPF2 had 5 bombs occurring between 34 and 69 seconds. Does not bother be too much as it was 100% taking early leave before applying some security scanning changes.

I've got similar stats. If they error out it is rather fast so it doesn't affect my crunch rate much. Used to be errorless for a while (month or so) so it seems to be related to some HPF2 batches as well as Vista it seems.

Im a quite new WCG user. Gotten 10 HPFP2 WU so far. Got errors in 5 last of them only. Previously WU crunched correctly and without any errors. Usin' with 6.4.5 BOINC ver.

I've got one here on a machine that's been reliable so far. 32bit linux, machine has no other software running as it's a headless cruncher.

I assume this is an ongoing issue. Just had 6 fail almost immediately on a freshly install on Win 7 x64, having similar problems on a Win 2k8 x64 Enterprise box as well. No problems with other projects.
The 6 that just failed: mf697_00066_9 mf696_00083_6 mf697_00054_1 mf697_00051_15 mf697_00065_6 mf697_00050_18 Is the accepted solution not to except work from the HPF2 project or should we continue to let these run and error out? |
