Hi Gerry Rough,
If you read through the Beta Test forum, you will find that we ran a beta test to fix this problem. Unfortunately, we ran into more bugs. Right now our programmer is trying to get it to work on his system. When we are ready for another beta test, we will announce it on the Beta forum again. Lawrence |

It seems that the problem still persists with some work units. I've, so far, had a couple of similar errors with them over as many days.
<core_client_version>6.2.19</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> Incorrect function. (0x1) - exit code 1 (0x1) </message> <stderr_txt> ERROR:: Exit at: .\dock_structure.cc line:401 </stderr_txt> ]]> Are we any closer to a resolution? ![]() |

Hello all,
Often I see these errors in HPF2: <core_client_version>5.10.45</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> Onjuiste functie. (0x1) - exit code 1 (0x1) </message> <stderr_txt> ERROR:: Exit at: .\dock_structure.cc line:401 </stderr_txt> ]]> (Onjuiste functie = Incorrect function) However these errors occur only on this computer: CPU type AuthenticAMD AMD Turion Dual-Core RM-70 [x86 Family 17 Model 3 Stepping 1] Number of CPUs 2 Operating System Microsoft Windows Vista Home Edition, Service Pack 1, (06.00.6001.00) Memory: 2813.69 MB Cache : 488.28 KB Swap space: 5847.9 MB Total disk space: 289.16 GB Free Disk Space: 219.91 GB Measured floating point speed: 2006.93 million ops/sec Measured integer speed: 3598.83 million ops/sec Throttling: 50 % Perhaps this information will be helpful. Have a nice day, Path7. |

hi Path7,
----------------------------------------Yes, if at all it seems to affect Vista (multi-core?) mostly. Certainly I had to take HPF2 out of the "home" profile to which my quad is associated. Not tried this version on XP C2D, so scheduling this. When reporting errors sure we like to know the clients particulars. HPF2 Beta 6.04 and 6.05 could not resolve this. Seems not widespread as else the programmers would have been on it in numbers.

It looks like I am getting a lot of erros also on HPF2 that I had not notice. It looks like it is happening on all operating systems, VISTA, XP, and W2k. Although most are short, I had one that failed after 7 hours. I thought this problem is fixed. Since I have donated over 29,000 results to this project, I hate to turn it off. Is anyone still working on a fix.

Is anyone still working on a fix. Generally speaking, Yes, since this problem is not solved. But right now, with the start of the CEP and the move of operations to the new site beginning of January, fixing this nasty "random" problem is probably not the highest priority for the techs. Meanwhile, if it is too detrimental for you please do not hesitate to deselect HPF2 from your profiles. Sorry about that. Jean. |

at least with this project most the errors are withing miniuts of starting the work so not much time is lost
----------------------------------------on the CEP work units there are some errors lasting days hopefully once the server move is completed they will be able to get to these errors and get them fixed quickly happy crunching ![]() |
