Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 29 smilesmile

Well, this poor old retiree doesn't have much to say about all of the financial debate, but I will say I supported Ron Paul's candidacy (donated a couple times). I am also a paid member of his Campaign for Liberty which might do a lot for this country.

Enough for the small stuff. My quad was delivered today. Hopefully my sons will be available to help me set it up this weekend.

@Jonathan: The new card came today and it installed OK. I set up an account with PS3grid and then downloaded the windows vista 64 bit driver and the other two applications from their page. Rebooted and then down loaded their BOINC Vista 64 bit GPU client (6.3.10). When I try to run the install it immediately dies with an Initialization Error. Any suggestions? If not I'll post something on their board tomorrow. coffee

Yeah -- g'nite DM, I've been waiting so I can remind Jonathan. Looks like he may have to wait until morning to collect the stats for Keith.

Last day at home. I leave Friday morning.
Shutting down my Duo Core. crying

Good luck to you, Blizzie. I hope you enjoy your years in college as much as I did. Looking back, they were the best years of my life.

You need the newest driver possible and the VISTA installation from PS3grid. Also, try rebooting. That helped me when I encountered glitches. But I've no idea why its giving you and Init error. Maybe redownload all the files?

Thanks but been there done all that several times. I think the problem is at Berkeley. The file downloaded from ps3grid is supposed to be 7.43 MB and what I am getting is 923 KB (a wee bit shorter laughing ). So I deleted it and tried to download it from Berkeley (boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/) and again the directory shows 7.4 MB and what I get is 923 KB. I'll post something in their board. Meanwhile I'm back to 6.2.18 running on the chip as I do not want to keep this machine down.

PS: The doors are being blown off the world markets (which is why I am awake at 3:00 AM). FTSE up over 8%. Some exchanges hit 30%. Even Russia is trading again. smile smile A lot of it is covering short positions but indications are the DOW will open up 250 points. w00t!
